With the change of Electric Motors and controls, we are constantly faced with new technology. We encourage our employees to continue their education to keep up with these changes, and we are continually expanding and updating our equipment and machinery to provide our customers with continued excellence in service and quality workmanship.
1966
August 1, 1966
Rapa Electric Inc. a proprietorship begun by Robert J. Rapa, in Allegan, Michigan. Then known as "Robert J. Rapa Electric Company" serviced and supplied the industrial electric motor industry of the West Michigan area.
1972
1972
The business changed from a proprietorship to a corporation, and was renamed "Rapa Electric Incorporated".
1988
1988
Robert J. Rapa retired, leaving some of Robert's children to run the business. Now owned and operated by Robert's son, Ron Rapa.
2006
2006 Fire
The motor shop suffered a drastic fire which destroyed almost everything. With this devastating challenge, Rapa Electric was able to continue operating out of three separate facilities. During this time, a new shop was under construction.
2007
2007 - New Shop Open
A new 12,000 square foot motor shop opened.
2021
2021 - Today
Rapa Electric Inc. continues to service and supply the electric motor industry of the West Michigan area.
